Nilfisk is moving its head office.

For more than 116 years, Nilfisk has produced cleaning equipment for professional users and consumers all over the world. This fall, the Danish company will move its head office from Brøndby to an entirely new building in the Copenhagen neighbourhood of Nordhavn.

The new head office will support a vibrant working environment and a strong collaborative culture, and it will be a meeting place for many international colleagues. It’s Nilfisk’s ongoing ambition to be a global market leader with a basis in our strong Danish heritage.

“We prioritize sustainability, a strong customer focus, progress within digitalization, and fostering an open culture. With our new headquarters in Copenhagen, we have found an attractive location with a framework that supports these priorities. The new headquarters will strengthen our position as an innovative international company, strongly anchored in our Danish roots,” says CEO Torsten Türling.

Since 2016, Nilfisk has been headquartered in Brøndby near Copenhagen, where the company moved after it ceased being a subsidiary of NKT and established itself as an independent listed company. Currently, there are about 240 employees at Nilfisk’s head office in Brøndby.

Focus on sustainability

As part of its business strategy Business Plan 2026, Nilfisk has committed itself to a list of ambitious sustainability goals. This is reflected in the new headquarters, which offers employees easy access to public transport and a building that lives up to high standards for more sustainability.

Today Nilfisk is a global company with employees of many backgrounds and nationalities – and this is also true of the employees at its headquarters in Denmark. The new headquarters will function as a global group headquarters that allows for cross-functional teamwork, community building, and creativity in a strong international environment.

Nilfisk has mostly administrative staff in Denmark. Production, warehouses, and distribution are located around the world, primarily in Europe and the USA. The company still has an R&D department in Hadsund, Denmark, and the specialty business Nilfisk Food in Aalborg, Denmark. In total, there are about 430 Nilfisk employees in Danmark and 4900 globally.

Nilfisk will move to the new building in fall 2023, when construction is complete.
